Just putting it out there, I get it we're pretty guard heavy as it is but Ellis is still available and he's CERTAINLY an upgrade from shane Larkin @ 5'11. We sure could use the scoring. Wonder what suitors he has. Surprised he hasn't signed with OKC.

I don't agree that he's "certainly" an upgrade from Shane Larkin at this point in their careers, and I am not overvaluing Shane Larkin. Ellis is legitimately that bad.

Over the last 6 seasons, teams only average 100 points per 100 possession while he is on the court, which is poor. Smart, Rozier, and Larkin are all better at running an offense and getting everyone involved.

And that doesn't even include his awful defense. 4 inches does not make him a better defender. He would immediately become our worst defender. He constantly puts stress on the rest of his team with his reaches and cheating. He plays no positional defense and "Oley" defense on ball.

They need to replace a reliable scoring threat, but don't think they need another guard. I'd like to see them bring back Brandon Bass. Yes, I realize that would be a mega-unpopular choice in this group.

I feel with all the spacing this team creates, he'd surely score his share of points. A Boston Globe write-up earlier this summer indicated he's improved since leaving the Celtics.

I think I’d go with Anthony Morrow or Gerald Green for my minimum-salary shooter off the bench.

I'm down for Gerald Green. He knows the system and adds athleticism. He will not whine about minutes but he'll always be ready and give these youngins some guidance.

What about Perry Jones? Only 26 years. It was unfortunate that we had to cut him in the pre-season due to roster crunch and his family circumstance.

He gets cut by someone every year.  He’s not really an nba player.  Green would be fine for the minimum.  Ellis is cooked.

Stick a fork in Ellis...he's done. Don't think this team needs another scoring option or more guards or wings. This is now a developmental year for Rozier, Brown, Tatum, Ojeleye and Nader. What we need is another veteran big.

I know most people here dislike Barnes but I’d love to have him on our team.  I’ve always liked him.  He’s a competitor.
