IT's defense is so bad, though it's exacerbated by this Cavs defense as a whole being putrid.

To be fair, all he really has to do is average around 23-25 PPG, like Kyrie did last season with Cleveland. So far, he has 4 points tonight, and Kyrie's defense last year was bad as well, so it's not a major regression by putting IT in there instead of Kyrie for Cleveland.

It absolutely is a major regression. Where both were bad defenders in Cleveland, at least Kyrie didn't give a major mismatch post-up opportunity like IT does. That's a significant change that will only get exposed the more IT plays.
Yeah, it's a very sizable regression. IT is awful on defence
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I mean, I don't disagree that Isaiah's defense is awful, but if we compare it to Kyrie's defense last year, it wasn't that worse I believe.

I forget who, but I think someone on here a few months ago posted something that showed Isaiah like last in the league at a certain defensive metric, and Kyrie very close to Isaiah (also real bad).

But yeah, the size difference is noticeable and a factor, I agree with that.

Isaiah struggling tonight. 2/8 shooting.

Lebron keeping them in this with 18 points already, but Cavaliers only up 2 right now.

And on cue, Isaiah plays better, hits a shot, connects with James on an alley-oop, and Cavaliers increase the lead to 6  :P

Looks like another game where Lebron will need to play 40 minutes and score 40+ for the Cavaliers to win tonight.

Even if CLE matches up with Miami in the 1st round, it won't be easy for them.

But yeah, there's a good chance they play TOR or WAS in the EC Semi's (Wizards tend to play Cavaliers tough as well).

I still don't believe Thomas is an answer in Cleveland. GS beats the Cavs in 5 in a series. Cavs old, long travel, oft injured.

Going to be great to watch the Cavs being dismantled in the offseason...

Wade---Old
James is not staying
IT--nobody is paying that guy big money
Crowder--he is a role player
Green, Rose, Calderon, Korver are all old and not a long term answer
Thompson is overpaid and is already being shopped
Love is a one trick pony

Cavs are cap strapped and have no youth on that roster. Kyrie knew it and he knew James wasn't staying and didn't want to be stuck on a crap team
