^ yup. Whenever I see that guy Oubre shoot a wide open 3, he bricks it.

Herculean effort by the Wiz to gag this game away. A couple awful missed calls by the refs too.

Makes me want to vomit.

So several comments on the Sixers losing a 1 point game to the Rockets.  No shame in that.  Meanwhile crickets on the TWolves losing by 21 to the Pistons who the Sixers beat by 11 on Monday.

While both teams are overrated, Minny is much more likeable than Philly, which I'm assuming is most of it (and the bandwagon Philly fans on here certainly don't help, though it's not as bad anymore without LarBrd33 constantly overrating them).

But also, Minny was without Butler, on the second night of a back to back, and in Detroit. That's a completely different context than Philly tonight.
Personally I find the Sixers more interesting and more likeable.  Much of that is Embiid but they have other players (Holmes, TLC, Korkmaz) I was interested in as draft prospects.  Also Covington's success as an undrafted player.

The Sixers were actually playing a top team.    They are 1-4 but those losses are to Wizards, Celtics, Raptors and Rockets.  Their next game is against the Rockets too.  Don't see how they are overrated.  They are a fringe playoff team assuming Embiid stays healthy.  The TWolves on the other hand were talked about as 48 or more win team before this season and they were actually talked about as a playoff team before last season.

If the TWolves without Butler lose by 23 to Indiana and 21 to Detroit, what does that say about Wiggins and Towns as impact players?
I watched a replay of the Pistons game in full, it was their 3rd game in 4 nights but i got to say that the Wolves lacked any sense of urgency defensively , i know that it was without Butler , but it is almost as if Towns and Wiggins selfishness on the offensive end carries over to the team onto the defensive end. 3 or 4 ball reversals resulted in a tonne of wide open looks, I think they are dead last in the league in defensive field goal percentage now, early days i know but the signs aren't great on that end for them.

Houston is overrated, especially without Paul. They looked like poo poo tonight.
So Houston is overrated too.   Sounds like besides GSW and ourselves every team is overrated.

Nice straw man. But, yes, I think those three teams in particular are overrated, especially without Paul, which you conveniently didn't mention.

And, for your information, I thought the Celtics were underrated.  ;)

But keep on protecting your Sixers lovechild....on Celticsblog for whatever reason. #TTP

Below is an analysis of the Bulls season so far.

https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/78vsq1/the_bulls_are_finally_playing_the_way_fred/?utm_content=title&utm_medium=hot&utm_source=reddit&utm_name=nba

tl;dr They are playing at a faster pace and shooting lots of 3s, which is prolly what Hoiberg wanted all along.

Okafor back on the trading block with both sides actively seeking a trade.

I remember a time (summer of 2016) when people on here were advocating trading pick #3 (Jaylen) in a package for Okafor, with Smart thrown in as a "sweetener"

Can we get Okafor with the DPE? Give them a few seconds too.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

The Magic looking really good, with DJ Augustin starting and Nikolva Vucevic putting up 25-10, is probably the most mystifying part of the start to this season.

And a bench of Shelvin Mack, Jon Simmons, Jon Isaac, Bismack Biyombo.

Nik Vucevic, speaking generally, is a weird player.  He's been a double double machine for years, and he's huge.  He has decent assists for a center.  He can shoot a little.  But he barely averages 50% from the field over most of his career, and he hardly ever gets to the free throw line.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
