found box score.... we need more production out of Horford, and Tatum should be taking more shots.

there's like 15-20 players ever who could "carry" a team to a championship

Yup.  This sudden "Kyrie is a superstar and should be carrying the team alone" narrative all the sudden is silly.

Not really when you pay the price you paid for him. That haul puts the expectation of superstardom on Irving. I don't think he's capable of being that player, so I hated the trade. But everyone who defended it had the expectation that Irving would be that transformative player.

I didn't have any of this nebulous "transformative player" idea at all..  The worst move is to pay IT his next contract (it would absolutely kill your team going forward) and he had a bad injury already.  I have been operating under that thought for a while now.

We gave up Crowder and the Nets pick and I think a lot of people overrate what the pick is worth.  For me the beauty of the original Nets trade was that we got multiple chances at the top picks so it just ups your odds of success so much (seems we hit twice maybe).

Irving is a great player and he needs help.  The team was failing to execute plays and he was getting triple teamed.  Not sure what he can transform into to fix that.

This has been bothering me too.  In the preseason Horford was firing from 3 and it was great but I think he might only have taken 1 or 2 so far.  Especially now, they need him to shoot.

Shooting himself in the foot is what he's doing.

You clearly have an axe to grind with Kyrie.

My impressions of this team in it's current state:
With Smart starting it is taking the ball out of Kyrie's hands too much and when Kyrie is finally getting the ball he is trying too hard to do too much and failing. Brown is a beast and I love his aggressiveness. Tatum is still a little apprehensive and needs to become more aggressive like Brown and it will eventually work out. Al is playing well but as the #2 option he is finding it difficult to get it going. Let's face it - Milwaukee was too long and too defensive for us last night. I mean Brogdon killed us. I won't even talk about the Greek Freak. I like Baynes and he will be good for us over the long haul but we do need a little more toughness in the lineup like say a Marcus Morris - yeah Marcus when will you be playing? We need a valid second shooting option to take the pressure off Kyrie so he can get some open looks. I think Brad will figure it out and right the ship but it may take a little while. I don't even feel comfortable for Friday night. I think when Morris returns we need to send Smart back to the second unit where he thrives and so Kyrie can get going. I love Rozier and I think this will be a breakout season for him.

Two more things...

Smart gets thrown to the floor by Dellavedova and jumps up and gets in Dirty Delly's face and Henson comes in and shoves Smart and these officials call Smart for a T? And dirty delly gets to take the shot? Seriously?

Our free throw shooting needs vast improvement. Milwaukee 25-30 and we were 11-21.

Frustrating loss, Kyrie was forcing tonight, I don't know if he felt he should "take over" since it was a back to back but he took terrible shots most of the time (and missed a lot of open ones).

Good performances by Jaylen and Jayson again, very encouraging. Theis is already a fan favorite !

Giannis was a monster though.
