Kyrie's a good player. Good players have bad games, and that's fine. But this is who Kyrie is. He's a volume scorer, a poor passer, and his default is always going to be low-percentage isolation looks. Again, he's good. Most nights will be way better than this, but he is not a superstar that will carry his team.

Agreed.

Hate how the Cavs get like 3 days off after opening night, and Celtics forced to play 3 games in 4 nights to start the season.

Yeah, it's absolutely ridiculous. How we get screwed like this in the first two nights of the season is beyond me.

Holy hell, people need to chiiillllllaaaaxxxxx. This is virtually a brand new team playing a really tough double-double to start the season. Oh, and we're literally down two starters who happen to play the same position as the guy that's killing us, not even mentioning the Hayward incident...

They deserve time, but Kyrie is still the same player he was in Cleveland. If you're relying on that player to take you places...good luck.

Kyrie had a terrible shooting night.  No conclusions.  One game.

It's not about the shots falling; it's the way he plays. His game is inherently inefficient. He's a bad passer and defender. He's very good, but he's not a superstar.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

This is going to be a growing process...and for a while.

This team with the injury to Hayward has to depend on really young players.

Basically this. Its a whole new team, there are going to be growing pains regardless. Add to that the fact that we now have to rely heavily on young guys, its going to be a rough start to the season.

Dude had 22 pts, 10 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals last night. It's a little arbitrary to pick this one out of the hat on the second night of a back to back... the second night of the sesaon with a brand new team... against a really good defensive team... and down two starters.

Also, first home game with his new team. He's clearly wants to impress and is having a rough shooting night. We're two games in guys - he's one good game and one bad one. Let's all take a deep breath. There's at least 80 more games to go.

Now for a different topic - what is Delly's shooting motion? My knees hurt every time I watch it.

LOL you aren't biased against him at all.

He is a better player than IT. Every single GM in the league would trade IT for Kyrie.

Please, quit hating. And I hate it when people saying hating, but you truly, truly are.

These two are not the same thing. If you want to present a coherent argument for Kyrie being better, then I'm all ears, but I doubt you can.

I'm frustrated right now but I want to remain patient. This is part of the process of developing the kids. Giannis getting the Lebron treatment disgust me though.

The Greek went to the line 13 times and the refs fouled out our best player....

Down 5 with 45 seconds to go? Nah, we're too cool for timeouts, a contested Irving pull-up will do.

This type of "coaching" is infuriating.  >:( >:( >:(

it was the young players that provided the positives tonight.

Sweet. At this pace, we shouldn't care about trading the Brooklyn pick. We have a good chance at the top 2 lotto picks anyways!

Offense was a mess tonight. Kyrie was just off. Brown looked good though!
