You realize we have lebrons mortal enemy on our team right? Kyrie will ask to be traded. Hayward will not play well next to lebron. The pieces we would have left don't fit well with lebron

Based on the blurbs in that article, I don't see how it's racist. Like the adjectives Gilbert used were that of a jilted lover. If LeBron is called cowardly, I don't see the racial component.

Maybe if there is more to what he said, but the things the article listed don't seem racial to me.

I doubt he's available. Doesn't he have a no trade clause

Lebron is so calculated. Epic PR move. If I was a Cleveland fan I'd just enjoy my last season with the Bron.
ok fine

ya let's bring in someone who completely rejects a system based offense into our system based offense  :D

it wouldn't hurt our chemistry at all bringing him here
I trust Danny Ainge

He's not going to be traded. He's slowly setting up his narrative and excuse to prepare the fanbase for when he leaves this next off season. Instead of the fans ditching lebron and blaming him, lebron is deflecting the Hatred to gilbert. That way lebron retains his Ohio fanbase no matter what team he goes to so he can keep selling shoes to said fans

The Gilbert letter is your classic jilted lover type letter, which if you feel prejudice against you your whole life can come off as racial letter.  It is all just a matter of perspective.  The GQ guy also pretty clearly led Lebron into that answer.  He was basically baited into it.  Now maybe Lebron really feels that way, but I'm not so sure he would have gone there without that leading question being asked.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I'm not a big LeBron guy or anything but Gilbert is an easy man to hate.

I can honestly say that I never want to see LeBron in Celtics green.   If this rumor is true then he will be traded to NO for Davis, perhaps.
