I was so focused on the Celtics, that I didn't even realize that Cleveland has three new starters. Two of which (Rose and Wade) are ball dominant guards that are used to being the man, and have definitely showed their age.

They also shipped out Jefferson. They have almost as much turn over as The Celtics. This Celtics team is being underrated by the media and the CAVS overrated.

I guess part of what took me by surprise, was the chemistry concerns for the Celtics and not the Cavaliers. I know Brown and Tatum are young, but they will grow into their rolls and do whatever it takes to get better and help the team succeed. As the old saying goes, it's tough to teach an old dog new tricks, which is why I think Rose and Wade will not fit in as easily as people think.

Cleveland will reportedly honour Irving on opening night with a video tribute which isn't too surprising but I am curious to see what reception he receives from the crowd.

I would in general agree with this.  Cleveland lost KI and some of their decent glue guys and replaced them with former 1st options that are getting old.  Not sure how Rose fits on that team.  Hopefully poorly....

Vegas spread only favors Cavs by 3.5, probably due to uncertainty of Lebron playing??

We will beat them if they have no IT or LeBron soundly.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Cavs are going to struggle to score from 3. They are also going to struggle to defend Kyrie and Brown.

Wade and Rose defending Kyrie and Brown? Wade and Rose shooting threes?

This one is ripe for an early season upset with Lebron's ankle iffy too.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Read that last line again. One more time.

Lebron likely to play tomorrow it seems.

Must have been initially scared at the thought of playing against Brown/Tatum  :P
