The Celtics have started slow in the last few seasons.  I'm a bit concerned about this, even if we looked sharp in the preseason.  We also have basically an entirely new roster, so we're lacking continuity.

That said, I think we'll finish 5-2.  Predictions

Cleveland: L (unless LeBron is confirmed out)
Milwaukee: W
Philly: W
NYK: W
Milwaukee: L
Miami: W
SAS: W

TPs to those who predict the record correctly.  10 TPs if you guess every game correctly.

6-1. I think we'll beat Cleveland (with or without Lebron) but probably lose to Milwaukee in Milwaukee.

4 wins and 3 losses to my mind...which is often unhinged.  ;D

i say this simply because i think it will take until december for the current starters to really begin to mesh as a team. until then, i expect them to lose a few winnable games.

but by january or so, this team will be very, very good.

I said 5-2 though without confidence. It could be up or down on that,  I am in the middle of the most likely range to me.

Cleveland: W
Milwaukee: L
Philly: W
NYK: W
Milwaukee: W
Miami: W
SAS: L

This is also my prediction, but I would love them to go 7-0

I think they'd win all of them except there'll be one game where they go cold from three and that'll be the one L.

The league has no idea what is about to come down on them.
Brad has never had this kind of talent in his entire career.

I agree with you. This team was built to play the Brad Stevens' system and they are going to run teams into the ground. The Celtics just picked up to all stars in their primes. I think The Celtics are being under rated at this point. The Celtics are going to the finals.

I went with 4-3, with losses to the Cavs, Bucks, and Spurs. I think people are underestimating the roster turnover. It doesn’t help that Morris is out either.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Also why in the world are the Celtics and Rockets playing back to back road games to start the season? There are teams that won’t have played any games 2 days into the season, but the Celtics and Rockets will have had already played back to back road games. Incredibly stupid.

New team, lots of young players...

I think the Celtics are a better team later in the season then now.   4-3.

We always start slowly and with a new team have no chemistry. 3-4, and CB goes into complete meltdown mode with new threads every day discussing how horrible Ainge's offseason was and how CBS is overrated.

By the end of the year, the Cs are 55-27 and the people who started those threads are now starting threads saying what a genius DA is and nominating CBS for Coach of the Year.
