As long as we're going down the all star comparison route , wouldn't a better one be a better offensive version of Ben Wallace, albeit 15/16 pounds lighter?  Just thought that I'd go ahead and throw that one out there .

I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but he’s looking like a lighter version of Draymond
You think we should have taken him with the 1st or, after the trade, with the 3rd pick of the draft?
He wasn't available when Semi was picked.

How could we have taken a player at #37 that was already gone at #27? I'll wait.

Duh, trading back into the draft.

His passing is better than Jokic and his D compares to KG.

I dont know whom we are talking about  , but if Danny missed on him, he must be GOAT material  ;)

trading back again from #3 or trading some future asset just to make another 2nd round pick for a marginal player when we already had an overloaded roster where we had to purge AB for cap room and let several other players on the roster go so that we'd be in a position to sign Hayward?

Obviously, lol - TP, man . A 6'9 version of Nerlens Noel without the knee issues is probably a better, albeit similarly lofty, comparison, anyway .

These guys both landed in perfect situations.
I loved Bell in the draft but Semi is the guy for us.
You're over-thinking it.

This is a really weird thread. Two guys that have shown flashes and weren't even available at the same in the draft?

Bell was drafted one spot after Semi.

I'm going to say no.  Bell is probably more talented, but Semi is playing a role that Bell could not have -- defending several different positions while operating as a spot up shooter and hustle guy on the offensive end.

So far, Semi looks to me like a very raw version of Jae Crowder, which is high praise for any first year second round pick.  He probably has higher upside defensively, too, given that he's significantly taller (and even more built) than Crowder.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Bell can defend the post, something we are lacking. Semi appears to be a better perimeter defender.

At this point, neither gives you much of anything offensively. Bell is showing that he is an elite shot blocker.

I was big on drafting Bell later in the draft up until the Final 4. On back to back free throw misses in the UNC game, Kennedy Meeks (iirc) went over Bell's back and got game changing rebounds in the last few seconds. A leaper like him just can't let that happen, especially in the most important moments of his career to date.
