Marcus Smart has strong desire to remain in Boston, but tells The Vertical he and agent Happy Walters have yet to hear from Celtics front office on possible extension.

Apologies in advance if this was posted somewhere already, but I couldn't find it.

It's also posted in the front page of Celticsblog here:

Now there's still time, and I do think ultimately an extension gets done and Smart is a Celtic FOR LIFE (sort of)! But just hope the unexpected doesn't happen (like an extension is not reached and we lose Smart in RFA b/c he gets overpayed elsewhere). Normally I wouldn't say that, but after that completely unexpected Isaiah trade and all that's happened this summer, idk what to think or believe anymore LOL.

Hoping we can sign Smart at around 4 Years, 65-70M range (would have said 4/56M BUT that Harris extension may have risen his price).

Oh I thought that post was saying something different (and from Aldridge, not Shams).

Guess I should have read the entire thread and the posts lol.
