Should Celtics Blog abandon the current Tommy Points system?

Yes, they may have been cool at one time. Now they are passé.

No, I love Tommy Points.... especially for well thought out, clever or interesting posts?

It makes no difference to me. I could live with or without them.

I loved when we all placed TP bets before that Wizards-Celtics Game 7.

Some went all-in, some chose a certain number of TPs to wager.

I'd love to keep doing that in the future as the dynasty is only just beginning (and so are many more playoff games over the next decade!)  8)

So to answer the question, it doesn't really matter to me (makes no difference), but frankly TPs do tend to sort of "spice up" the forums somewhat. Idk, without them it would feel a bit more dull and now I'm just used to seeing "TP:" under every poster's username lol.

Noticed Tommy Points are being given out less and less on Celtics Blog. Often times, even well thought out Blog postings are not getting credited. (I'm guilty of this myself.)

Maybe we're suffering from Tommy Point fatigue. Anyone else feel the same?

If you don't feel like enough TPs are being given out, give out more TPs!

And as always, giving a TP is great, getting a TP is great, but don't pay attention to totals or ratios or whatever. There are way too many things that distort them in either direction and all it leads to is silly forum drama.

Yeah, absolutely not.  My self-worth is based almost entirely on Tommy Points.

I am 80% serious here.

Same , and happy 1200th!  Woot woot!

TP bets are great, esp during the playoffs. I remember that one game against the Wizards in the playoffs we all had that bet hehehe.

And also, kudos to FLCelts for always posting up those game threads and giving free TPs to the first few posters!  ;D
