Good Lord, is this really the same Marcus Smart from last year? He's simply a completely different player - better shot, better handles, better athleticism.
And Rozier looks similarly improved and confident. Bodes well for this coming season.
Agree on both counts.
I've given Smart a lot of criticism over the last couple of years, but the way he's playing so far this year, I'm very happy. Getting in shape has definitely helped, but it's not only that - he's playing smarter as well (Pun not intended). Taking better shots, not forcing as many bad plays, playing more composed. And then physically he just looks quicker on his first step and seems to have much better body control - doing a much better job of hitting off balance shots, etc.
Rozier has just looked great the past two games. I can see Rozier he and Tatum developing into a deadly 1-2 punch off the bench offensively. He continues to impress him with his ability to explode into the paint and then take (and make) difficult off balance shots off the move. Very talented scorer.
