The saddest thing about the title of this post is not the question on whether the Celtics should take a chance on him...

...the saddest part is that he hasn't ruled out a NBA return.

Wear your rings and enjoy life young man...while you can.

I don't see why not, he is aware of the risk and it's his life, he has the right to decide as long as it doesn't hurt others, we all die afterall
Just let him play and if he die no one should feel sorry,it's his noble choice

Great player. Take care of your health. I love this man third to Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.

He definitely played the most critical role in winning his second ring with that offensive rebound in Game 6.

No, I fear we could be kicking the tires of a hearse.

I just think a teammate dying would be too big of a distraction for a team that needs to keep its focus.

After Reggie Lewis, I don't think the C's need anyone else collapsing on the floor again.

If Bosh comes back I bet he goes to the Lakers. Rob Pelinka was his old agent and I don't see a contending team like us putting the faith in his health.

If he can really come back and play what better situation is there for him than the Lakers where he would have low expectations, a nice fit next to Brook Lopez and just might be able to team back up with LeBron next year.

I'm trying to insert this meme of Ivan Drago saying "If he dies, he dies," but I'm having trouble at work.

You get the idea.

It's not the common opinion here, but I pretty much agree with this.  Plus he wouldn't play if the risk outweighed the reward for him.  He wouldn't expect to die from playing, and I wouldn't expect him to die from playing.

Look another Bosh thread.  Seems like we get one of these every couple of months.  In those I've been all for giving Bosh a look as he could be a real difference maker if healthy.

I'll say this again... If you lived through Len Bias and Reggie Lewis, the answer to this question is obvious.

We also lived through Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell.  He should be able to decide what to do with his life.

Guys in hockey play with Bosh's condition, and that's a much more physical game.  I'll leave it to the doctors.
