Some quotes:

But he probably secured himself a statue outside a rodeo. Instant legend. The only black guy in the world who wants to live in that craphole
.

Quote
I didn't want WB the moment we drafted lonzo

Quote
I don't wish injury on any player but if there was any player that is vulnerable to a knee injury it's Westbrook especially the way he plays and he has had 3 knee surgeries already. And it is being reported he will miss the first few days of training camp after receiving a PRP injection on his injured knee.

Quote
Don't get me wrong, every team can use a Westbrook, but his ISO style would set this team back a few years.

Quote
Here's the thing. It may be a better idea to use that gigantic amount of cap space on deepening the roster with solid role players/vets as opposed to pushing it all for superstars that are probably not coming.

Imagine this. We lose Clarkson, and stretch Deng.

We have a max slot available in addition to the money we freed up from Clarkson and Deng.

Instead of going for two max's.

We could always play the UFA/RFA game. I mean look what will be available

Joel Embiid, Avery Bradley, Zach LaVine, Clint Capela, Jabari Parker, Jusef Nurkic, Aaron Gordon, Rodney Hood, Marcus Smart, Elfrid Payton, Danny Green, Derrick Rose, Chris Paul, Isaiah Thomas, Delon Wright, Lou Williams, Will Barton, Mario Hezonja, Nerlens Noel.

A lot of those guys are either UFA or RFA with a QO coming up. If we had the space for 'near' two max's, we could definitely p;ay the RFA game with some teams and force them to have to make a decision as far as who they can bring back.

I mean look at the Celtics situation. If we threw an offer sheet at say.. Marcus Smart, and he signed it. Do you think the Celtics match?
they went from Westbrook to maybe Marcus smart  ;D

If there had been rumors that Westbrook might become a Celtic, you'd see a similar bitter thread on this forum.

Didn't we have that last year with KD?

Yeah, but they are attacking Westbrook's health and style of play, we were attacking Durant's personality...totally different  ;)

I don't think we'd be saying things like "well he'll probably be injured", or demonising him for being loyal.

We're better than them

Now their major hope of getting Lebron and challenging for a titlle rests on PG leaving OKC.

Lebron is not signing to play with Randle and Ball Lopez alone.  ....unless he looses his mind.

So.....im kinda hoping PG has found a home at OKC and will put the Lakers out of reach totally of a title.

.I feel bad for LA

not

Lakers fans already starting to turn against Lebron coming to town, fearful that it will be The King, Wade and a few other players in a repeat of the Kobe farewell tour - hindering the development of Ball, Ingram and other youngsters.

Am surprised how few want him here

There was a rumor last year involving Jaylen Brown and the BKN picks and it didn't sit well with the fans as most of us Celtic fans hated Westbrook's style of play and question his BBIQ.

If this user had replaced "craphole" with "dump" and added "So sad!" to the end of the post, they probably could have pawned it off as being an official one from The Tweeter, himself ::). Either way, they're obviously government material, lol .

I applaud Westbrook's loyalty.   LA is not the NBA mecca it used to be and folks don't go running there.   Gone is the steady hand of Jerry West.  We had our rough period with Crapitino.

Money talks obviously trumps any speculation/conspiracy I'm about to throw out there...

But is it possible that the Lakers choosing to draft Lonzo Ball has soured the marquee FA's on turning to that market?

Westbrook obviously wants to be the no questions asked, THE MAN, and face of a franchise. Paul George seems to be more of a 1B or a top #2 player. All the Lonzo Ball hype, the shoe BS, the Lavar BS. Seems like a big circus/distraction, that will constantly be a media topic that even a marquee guy like Westbrook would have to address.

The NBA is definitely a fraternity; but it is a "prove yourself" fraternity. For every King James, pre-draft hyped player.....there is 10 Odens, Anthony Bennetts, Darkos. And then you have a kid like Lonzo, who he himself may not be doing much talking, but his entire camp and the hype it brings.....can't be rubbing many of the established stars in the league the right way.
