Starters: Irving, Smart, Hayward, Morris, Horford

Bench: Rozier, Brown, Tatum, Baynes

Deep bench: Semi, Theis, Yabu, Larkin

Street-clothes: Nader, TBD

I get the feeling Theis or Semi (or maybe even Yabu) will get regular bench minutes. Only one of them will though.

Man. After looking at these depth charts, I feel like Smart is putting a road block on our # of shooters. Current combinations with Smart dont seem very effective unless he is in the starting line up. Rozier, Smart, and Tatum dont get much accomplished as a whole imo.

Irving/Rozier/Larkin
Brown/Smart/Nader
Hayward/Tatum/Ojeleye
Morris/Theis/Yabusele
Horford/Baynes

Thats my depth chart but many players will be overlapping into other positions depending on the 5 man rotation being used. I fully expect Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Horford, and Theis playing multiple positions in the 9-10 man rotation.

Starters: Irving/Brown/Hayward/MorrisHorford
Finishers: Irving/Smart/Brown/Hayward/Horford
2nd and 4 quarter starters: Rozier/Smart/Hayward/Tatum/Baynes

This is it right here.

Brad probably goes 10 games and swaps Larkin for Rozier for 10 games, and Theis will earn minutes.  Yabu might not.

Here is mine:

Most Minutes
Irving
Smart
Hayward
Morris
Horford

Fewer but Regular Minutes
Rozier
Brown
Tatum
Theis
Baynes

No Regular Minutes
Larkin
Yabusele
Nader
Ojeleye

Things could get ambiguous in who starts vs. who finishes but I think this is how the players should be grouped in terms of who gets the most minutes at the various positions.  For example, many of the posts have Brown with the first unit or listed as a starter but I don't think that matters if Smart plays more minutes.  Same for Baynes vs. Morris.  I believe Morris will play more minutes than Baynes partly because of fouls.  And of course, Irving, Hayward, and Horford will play max minutes.

Previously I was in favor of starting Morris, but Baynes looked really good against Charlotte and he may be able to stabilize the defense and rebounding. Morris is more of a iso player than a spot up shooter, so maybe not a great fit in the starting line up anyhow. The athletism of Brown in the starting unit can be very important though I don't rate his defense very high yet.

So I fully agree with these units, TP. Tatum looked pretty weak as a post defender, so he gets some slack by not having to play PF in the second line up. And there are minutes available for Theis (who also looks good) at C, when Horford primary plays as a PF.

I hope Nader will find some minutes during the season, I like how smooth his game is. I don't think much of Ojeleye and Yabusele. If Yabusele has some trading value then I wouldn't be opposed to giving up on him and trade him right now. If Rozier is not able to convincingly win the battle for back up PG with Larkin, then you have to question whether he has a future with the Celtics as well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this be a match up related thing. If we're playing a team like Charlotte that has a guy like Dwight Howard at the starting slot, I think Baynes gets the nod to match up against him. If the team doesn't have a bruising center in the middle then I see Morris getting the nod.

Depth chart
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin
SG- Brown, Smart, Nader
SF- Hayward, Tatum, Semi
PF- Horford, Morris, Yab
C- Baynes, Theis

Main Rotation
PG-Irving, Smart, Rozier
SG-Brown, Smart, Hayward
SF-Hayward, Brown, Tatum
PF-Horford, Morris, Tatum
C- Baynes, Horford, Theis

I won't be shocked to see the strange line up of
Irving, Smart, Hayward, Brown and Horford a lot.

The depth chart on this team remains confusing IMO.

I still can't choose a starting lineup, without speculating. All of our power forwards except Morris can also play center. I haven't seen enough of Theis to tell where he fits, but I sure like what I've seen so far, and the same with Baynes, the teams only true Center.

All of our Point Guards can play off-guard well, other than Larkin.

Danny and Brad wanted a team built for versatility, to mix and match...they got their wish.
