The Globe came out with an article claiming Nader maybe was 4th best NBA prospect on Iowa team.A switch came on for him when Nader transferred to Iowa and he has been on a steady climb since.A trip to NCAA tournament,an all star at Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, then drafted by Celts and summer league where he again impressed. The Celts stashed him up in Maine and he kept  shining, a star at Showcase Tournament,,then all d league and rookie of the year.

Nader did it he got a roster spot and a contract.
On Oct.2 Nader got to play in a Celtics uniform in Boston Garden, under all those banners and scored 10 pts on 4-6 shooting and 4 rebounds
Hard work and perseverance and he was still standing while those drafted above him were gone.

Then there is Shane Larkin after being in the league a few years on three different teams and had lost his confidence. He moved to the Spanish league and started his climb back and now he has Brads confidence that he will be impactful player.
Two players that kept working and persevering and are now part of a new CELTICS TEAM.
Maybe these guys will help rebuild the Celtics culture that Jaylen questioned-and from the bench.

Hard work and perseverance yes, but in Nader's case there is another key element:  He was willing to be a D-league stash and make peanuts for the sake of the exposure without any guarantee it would lead to anything.  That takes courage, and confidence in your abilities.

Jeff Van Gundy was on the Lowe Post this week and brought up Nader's name as a guy he really liked in the G-League when he was doing G-League research for the FIBA tournament he was coaching in. That was encouraging.

I won't be surprised at all if this guy has a Gerald Green-esque season, where he's not always a regular member of the rotation but has a couple of nice games and maybe a big game or two in the playoffs.
