Horford Baynes Theis
Morris Yabu Semi
Hayward Tatum Semi
Brown Smart Hayward
Irving Smart Rozier

That's what I'm thinking. Tatum will get PF minutes and Rozier will play lots of shooting guard too. What's your depth Chart look like.

Mines almost the same, I have Theis starting alongside Horford. Morris and Baynes off the bench.

I have Yab and Nader/Semi as the 13/14th on the roster will Yab spending most of the year in Maine. Theis will fill the Amir role but with a 3 point shot. I also think Semi is more likely to play SG than Hayward at this point.

We don't have a shooting Guard we can depend on at all. Bradley leaves a Huge whole. I hope Brown is but he's around raw, I hope smart is but he can't be shoot.

So Hayward is the surest thing we have at guard. He for sure will see minutes there.

Hayward is our only sure thing at SF. I'm more confident in Smart and Brown than Tatum going into the year.
We have more shooting and shot creation than last year which should offset Smarts lack of it. I'm expecting more open shots for our players this year than last, and better percentages when under pressure.

There is no such thing as a SG in Brad's system. It is Bigs, Wings, and Ball Handlers. Celtic fans just can't seem to let go of the old positions.

I'm eager to see Smart. His slimmed-down look and hopefully improved jumper can make him an offensive threat and possibly an even better defender.

Irving/Rozier/Larkin
Brown/Smart
Hayward/Tatum/Nader
Morris/Ojeleye/Yabu
Horford/Baynes/Theis

That's the depth chart, imo. But I'm sure we will see many different units from Brad. You'll see Baynes and Horford together. You'll see Smart at PG, Hayward at SG-SF-PF, maybe even Irving at SG. Tatum at PF. Morris at SF.

So many options. He's really moving towards a positionless team. Imagine an offensive lineup of Kyrie/Smart/Hayward/Tatum/Horford? Anyone can initiate the offense. Or defensively, we can put together a lineup that almost any switch keeps a swing on LeBron/KD.

Brad is going to earn his money this season. Last year he coached the all-star team, this year he may win Coach of the Year.

I think Brad Steven usually plays 9-10 guys. He also likes to keep starters minutes down (unlike Doc). Here is my projection:

Center: Al Horford 30 minutes/Aron Baynes 18 minutes

Power Forward: Marcus Morris 26 minutes/Jayson Tatum 12 minutes/Guerschon Yabusele 10* minutes

Small Forward: Gordon Hayward 33 minutes/Jayson Tatum 11 minutes/Jaylen Brown 4 minutes

Shooting Guard: Jaylen Brown 24 minutes/Marcus Smart 16 minutes/Terry Rozier 8 minutes

Point Guards: Kyrie Irving 34 minutes/Marcus Smart  10 minutes/Terry Rozier 4 minutes

Summary: (total minutes)

1. Kyrie Irving (34)
2. Gordon Hayward (33)
3. Al Horford (30)
4. Jaylen Brown (28)
5. Marcus Smart (26)
6. Marcus Morris (26)
7. Jayson Tatum (23)
8. Aron Baynes (18)
9. Terry Rozier (12)
10. Guerschon Yabusele (10)
11. Semi Ojeleye
12. Daniel Theis
13. Shane Larkin
14. Abdel Nader

*Daniel Theis or Semi Ojeleye can take these minutes as well and Semi might be able to sneak some minutes at the 3 if he earns them

Don't see Larkin or Nader playing much.

We are pretty small and are going to stink on the glass.

Copying this from an older thread:

Quote
I figure Horford at 32 mpg (same as last year), so Baynes with ~16mpg.  That's right in line with his past 3 years (16.0, 15.2, and 15.5 mpg respectively).

Rozier, though, is going to be casualty of the huge number of wings.  The overall minutes will probably break down something like this:

PG: Irving 32/Smart 10/Rozier 6
SG: Brown 20/Smart 20/Rozier 8
SF: Hayward 25/Tatum 15/Brown 4/Semi or Nader 4
PF: Morris 28/Hayward 7/Tatum 5/Yabu, Theis, Semi, or Nader splitting 8
C: Horford 32/Baynes 16

Rotation players:
Irving 32
Hayward 32
Horford 32
Smart 30
Morris 28
Brown 24
Tatum 20
Baynes 16
Rozier 14
Other rookies 12 (some or all could also go to a vet min)

There's definitely room for Terry to get more minutes (if Brown plays more SF), but it's also possible that he plays less because Hayward plays some SG. I think Brown and Tatum are much better prospects and get more minutes than him,  which will cut down on the time he could get.  You may be right, but I don't think Terry has the talent to earn 20 mpg on this team, especially with how ball-dominant he is.

Hopefully we add a vet min that can play center, though, because I hate that rotation of bigs (and I don't even want to think about what it would look like if Al went down)
I'm bitter.

Irving/Rozier/Larkin
Brown/Smart/Nader
Hayward/Tatum/Ojeleye
Morris/Theis/Yabusele
Horford/Baynes

Thats my depth chart but many players will be overlapping into other positions depending on the 5 man rotation being used. I fully expect Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Horford, and Theis playing multiple positions in the 9-10 man rotation.

Starters: Irving/Brown/Hayward/MorrisHorford
Finishers: Irving/Smart/Brown/Hayward/Horford
2nd and 4 quarter starters: Rozier/Smart/Hayward/Tatum/Baynes
