The Worst Lineup You Can't Wait To Watch

We all know which good teams we're excited to see.


How about 5 man units you know will be a disaster but you're excited to watch anyway, just for the pure spectacle of catastrophe?


For me, it's got to be this Pelicans lineup:

Rajon Rondo, Jordan Crawford, Tony Allen, Anthony Davis, Demarcus Cousins


Can you believe the headache this lineup should and probably will cause Anthony Davis?

What did that guy ever do to deserve having to play with these dudes?


Should be worth a few Michael-Jackson-eating-popcorn gifs.

Allen should instill some defense within the team. He has after all; been the Grindfather for several years in Memphis. His defensive prowess and maturity on the defensive end should rub off on the team.

Rondo should be able to captivate viewers and basketball lovers with dazzling passes that most humans couldn't process. And it'll be interesting to say the least to see how the duo of Davis and Cousins matches up.

Honestly, I can't wait to see the Timberwolves. Butler should be gunning for an MVP race, by leading in his team in PPG/APG/SPG, and Wiggins/Towns may have possibly improved in their weaknesses.

The 76ers would also be next on my list, next to the Bucks on the fore front.

If Parker wasn't injured, and Middleton looking like he still isn't 100% ready. The Bucks may be one of the few teams, with game changing prospects.

That's a pretty crazy collection.  I'd missed that TA ended up there.  They'd be a lot of fun if they can figure it out.

They also have the same number of former Celtics on their roster (4 - Rondo, Allen, Moore and Crawford) as we have returning Celtics on our roster!

My "preferred" lineup is:
"Coach's rude awakening"
Dunn
Grant
Zipser
Mirotić
Markkanen

2x Incompetent guards
3x Euro stretch 4s
= I could see Hoiberg making it happen, and not coming home that night. Just roaming the streets, not being able to sleep. Not exactly positionless basketball, more like 2 position basketball:
1 - small (plays D, can't shoot)
2 - big (can't play D, can shoot)

Last we checked on Rondo he was dismantling our team in the playoffs. 

Two of my favorite Celtics: Rondo and TA.  If TA hadn't gotten injured they'd have been a terrorizing backcourt give offense from Pierce, Ray and KG.   I remember them playing well together in their brief chance...

I would go with the Nets as having lineups this year that are truly eye soreness inducing...

Honestly I think that type of lineup may not be very effective but will play in a way that makes more sense than the Bulls did last year.

The Bulls will be bad, but they may play a more attractive style this year.

That's one I'd like to see.

The Magic certainly have more players I like this year, but I still have a hard time seeing them not losing a lot.



Peyton, Fournier, Ross, Gordon, Biyombo at least makes a kind of sense.


Mack, Afflalo, Simmons, Isaac, Speights is a reasonable bench, though hardly inspiring.


What they need is to get rid of Vucevic and Hezonja and turn them into a starting center and a starting small forward.   Both of whom need to be able to contribute on both ends.
