Former Josh Smith fanboy.
I think his J Smoove days are behind him. What a shame he never made an all star game during 7-year stretch where he averaged 17/8.5/3.5/1.4/2.1. Crazy
Josh had a good run during that stretch, but it is hard to state he was truly snubbed from the All Star squads. He just never was that much of a high-level player, BBIQ guy nor a spacer. His age 26 season, the lockout shortened 2011/12, was probably his best, but Joe Johnson and Luol Deng took his position.
Marquese Chris reminds me of him. An athletic freak that comes to the league so young and raw, makes block/dunk/putback highlights and gets a starting job from the start, even though they can't produce at that level for years.
When a player, like JS, falls off like that at the age of 30, it usually means he was in the league due to his athletic gifts and they are gone now.
