Yes or no?  Dude is oozing with talent and is just about to hit his peek.  I say he blows up to megastar status and all the moaning and groaning is quickly forgotten.

In other words, can he be as good as IT was?

I sure hope so.

No

You think Hayward is chump change?

I think it depends on how we close out the season. If we win 60+ and/or get the 1st seed by a clear margin, he has a shot. If we replicate last year, no.

It'd be a career year.  I'm more interested in seeing if he can play more than 52 games, though. I think most underestimate how injury prone he is.  He's literally always hurt.

I think so. If we end up first in the East convincingly, he has a real legit shot at winning MVP. This is especially true because the front runners from last year (Russ and Harden) are now both sharing touches with another All Star, while Kyrie is going to have even more opportunities in Boston.

Nope. Kyrie Irving is not even as good as Gordon Hayward.

Kyrie would be totally and wholly undeserving of being a top 5 MVP if the media makes him one.

Yeah, thought about that angle.  How about, becomes perennial MVP candidate?

Eeven though he won a ring......the first person always associated with that title will be Lebron , people will say ....oh yeah they had Irving and Love .....forgot about them guys .

I thijnk Irving wants a better legacy than the Scotty Pippin role.

Here is his chance to be Alpha dog , number one scorer .

Im for giving him the shot

Hope so.

Kyrie's a Celtic now so I wish him well.

I'd like to see Hayward get some votes for this, too.

Add Jayson Tatum as the ROY and we're set.

I think so. IT was a dark horse candidate for me prior to the trade, and now I'd peg Kyrie as having an outside shot.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

The team is associat d with Lebron for good reason. The Cavaliers were something like 4-23 when Lebron didn't play.

My thinking is similar to yours, but I go a step further.  I think with so much roster turnover, we are going to take a while to click on all cylinders.  That break in period will lower our win total enough to keep him out of the serious discussion.

We will probably get the kinks out after the all star break, and play our best bb going into the playoffs.

Yeah. I've already made an even bolder prediction:
