The only notable RFA to sign the qualifying offer in recent times was Greg Monroe -- and that was because Detroit refused to max him out. There is absolutely no chance Porzingis would pass up a max contract extension. He can express frustration with the team all he wants; the Knicks will call his bluff and correctly wager that he wants a max contract after being underpaid for four years on the rookie scale.
