And Zizic and Jae Crowder!"

Who would you have thought we were getting? What would have made you happy?

To me these were the acceptable answers in no order...obviously some were impossible

Durant
Anthony Davis
Steph Curry
Bron
Kawhi
Harden (wouldn't have liked it)
Bron
Giannis (woulda been on the fence)
KAT

I think it's a fair deal for Irving.  So no complaints.

None of those were possible, NONE.  Kyrie was.

IT does not have as much trade value as you think he does. Crowder is probably more valuable to a contending team because of his contract. This trade is really all about the Nets pick. Clearly Boston was not giving IT the max so he is expendable.

We just gave up infinitely more than the TWolves or OKC gave up for J Butler and PG13. And Butler isn't even a cancer injury box

Wonder if Celts tried to negotiate an extension on IT first and he declined. Seems that would have been the safer course.

Zero chance that what we gave for Kyrie would be anywhere close to being enough for ANY of these players:

Durant
Anthony Davis
Steph Curry
Bron
Kawhi
Harden (wouldn't have liked it)
Bron
Giannis (woulda been on the fence)

You can't be serious? Wouldn't have liked Harden and on the fence for Giannis.

C'mon man.

TP - Like Rondo, IT's value was evidently not that great. Not only does this trade show us the Danny never intended on signing IT to a long term near-max contract, but that Cleveland doesn't intend to either. They will likely make a big run with the IT and Crowder additions, even likely beating the Cs, but they won't be able to afford IT next year if Lebron sticks around...and why would Lebron stay with an apparent lesser roster.

This trade for Cleveland was in two parts: contend this year, rebuild with a top tier next year. For Boston (if we plan on re-signing Kyrie), it is for now and the future.

So was standing pat.

Or, keeping IT and the BRK pick, and trading for PG13. Or DMC. Or Butler.

An all-NBA guy and a top pick and a good young prospect and a good contract hard worker guy?  Yeah when I give up an All-NBA guy and a top pick alone I expect an All-NBA guy in return. We didn't get one

Isn't it great that when you trade a 2nd team All Nba guy and a top pick and a fine young prospect and decent player you can get a guy who was 3rd team All Nba two years ago and is a cancer?

And we would've gotten a two-way player.

major overpay for Kyrie. Nets must be happy they do not have to watch their picks grow into a huge Celtic force.
