He started in 2013. So will he Coach until 2038. It looks crazy just looking at the year, but I think he's got a good chance especially if Austin Ainge to takes over.

The odds are overwhelmingly against him.

If I'm not mistaken, no coach has ever remained with one team for 25 years.  Sloan came close.  Popovich can do it if he wants to coach for four more years.

Nobody else deserves the discussion.

I highly doubt it. It's almost impossible
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I'm voting no.  But I also wouldn't be surprised if Boston is the last place he coaches, even if he doesn't last 25 years.

The question might generate more discussion if we shorten the time frame. How about this?

Will CBS coach the Celtics for the next 10 years?

My answer is yes to that one.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I think a decade is more reasonable than a quarter century. Though he won't find greener pastures.

Given that it's never happened before in the history of the league and we're only 4 years into his tenure, it would be really difficult to bet yes on that.

Well he’d have to start winning lots of championships. And then Danny Ainge would probably still need to be there and that make him around 79 years old. And seeing that no coach has ever done it I’m going to say “no” on this one. Now I hope he is because the only way that it’s possible is if he turns out to be the greatest coach in history.

I'll be happy if he doesn't jump to Duke when Coach K retires.

Considering only 5 coaches have been with their current team longer than Stevens right now (technically Budenholzer, Clifford, and Rivers were all hired before Stevens, but all in the same off season and Brown was hired after Stevens but also that same offseason), I think it is pretty clear that the answer to this question is no.

what is odd is that there are no new coaches to start next season.  First time I can remember that happening.  Of course 12 coaches were hired in 2016 (Lue and Watson in the 16 season, the other 10 after it ended).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Let's change it to 17 years. 2030 is the goal, can you see that happening.
