Crabbe traded to the Nets

Don't see a post about Crabbe traded to the Nets for Nicholson.    The Blazers will waive and stretch Nicholson over 7 years.  Thought the Nets would get a protected 1st or at least a good 2nd for taking Crabbe.  Instead they dump a smaller dead weight contract.  Crabbe should help the Nets a bit with his 3pt shooting but he doesn't bring anything else to the table. 

Even with the trade and waive and stretch, the Blazers are still apparently in the luxury tax.  Surprised their GM still has a job.  Textbook case of how to bungle up a rebuild by overpaying for role players that don't make a difference.  I'd expect another trade or possibly another waive and stretch to get below the tax line but they may wait to the trade deadline.
