You can see he has the ability to have to total package. It's going to be up to him to get there, and people are going to have to remember, he JUST turned 19.

He looked way better his first SL than Brown did, and I'm not saying he's going to be better this season, but it put a lot at ease. At least till the preseason.

He's young enough were any issues should be able to be curved. If he gets around 3/3.5apg I'd be happy. It was hard to judge him sometimes with his assists because he wasn't really playing with knock down shooters, and I don't expect him to ever really be a play maker, but hit the open guy when he gets double teamed.

He's go work to do, but I really liked what I saw in SL.

TP for the post.

I agree with most of it, especially the red part.

Add to his youth the fact that he missed about the first quarter of the season which are all non-conference games where colleges like Duke and their players pad their records and their stats by feasting on WEAK, WEAK opponents like Marist, Maine, GCU, WM and Mary for Duke and Yale for Markelle's team (oh, wait, that didn't work out too well for Markelle, huh?, but some will blame that on the Huskies roster and coach or the weather or something), and he doesn't get the early buzz that Ball, Fultz and Jackson and even Isaac got.

I disagree with the underlined part. Tatum certainly did have Knockdown shooters to pass to and rely on. Kennard was Duke's best player. right out of the gate and through the NCAAs. Grayson Allen, while slumping for head reasons (although he made a smart move not declaring this year), was touted as a 3 point specialist.

That being said, Tatum will be just fine, and I predict will become a point forward, a la PP. PP only averaged 1.8 and 2.1  apg for his first 2 years at KU and 2.2 for all 3 years. Tatum, 2.1 for his 1st year. His offensive repertoire and polish is far superior to PP at this stage in his career. he seems to have the PP work ethic. He needs more, though. He needs to have 1/2 of the Captain's heart.

The Captain got knifed a bunch of times, and we almost lost him>>>>>he came back. The Captain got taken out and undercut under the boards, loses his two front teeth>>>>>>he puts his mouth guard back in and keeps playing!!!!

If Tatum has half of PP's heart and fire, he's a  multiple-time All-Star.

These scouting reports are bullsh*t.  Paul Pierce was a ball stopper.

Bingo.
