A couple of college buddies & I had a text chain going yesterday on this very subject.

Simple enough; In order & in a vacuum, who would you rather have?  And rank them.

If I need an alpha and a leader: Lillard, Wall, Irving

If I need a half-court set bucket to win the game: Irving, Lillard, Wall

If it's just me choosing: Lillard, Wall, Irving

Wall, Irving, Lillard.

I think Wall is the best PG of the 3, hands down. I think the other 2 are very close.

IT is better than all 3 of them, that's why he's not in the discussion. 8)

This has nothing to do with the Celtics.  It's a simple ranking of three players who can be argued are somewhat on a similar skill level in today's NBA.

Not agreeing or disagreeing but another thread has us trading IT + Crowder + Lakers pick for Irving with many statements that Irving is "clearly better".

In terms of my ranking, I don't get to watch Lillard enough but I like Wall better than Irving.  These players are really close in my opinion.

As far as IT, he is very hard to judge.  His season last season was a better individual season than any of these guys have had.  It is easy to lose sight of just how great that season was.  I am somewhat skeptical that he can repeat it.  I have been wrong about IT plenty though.

Wall, Lilliard, Irving

I think Wall is the only one on of them who could possibly be an actual 1a or 1b on a championship team.  Lilliard and Irving would have to be the clear #2 IMO.
