I don't see us getting Davis.  Maybe there should be a  Ayton and a Bamba thread instead.  We have a good chance to get one of them with the LAL pick.

That's assuming Lakers Pick conveys for sure at 2-5, which is also FAR from a given.

I'm off Davis.  Something missing with him.

I'd rather keep Brown and Tatum, see what happens.

Yeah, a good coach and better teammates  ;)

Yes, it's just preseason, but so far, Pelicans are 0-2!   ;D

Davis 1st game: 24 points, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks (33 minutes)

Davis 2nd game: 14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks (17 minutes)

Also, Rondo INJURED his groin in last night's preseason game. Something to monitor...

take last nights starting boston line up ......remove Horford ......insert A. Davis .....Thats what im talking about !.

Or if you can find some way to acquire Davis and keep Horford and two of Brown/Smart/Tatum... oh man

But that's difficult and probably very unlikely.  :(

Good news for NOLA missing the playoffs with Rondo possibility out for 1-2 months

This injury actually improves their playoff chances. Classic addition by subtraction case here.
Now they can start E. Moore. He is a better defender, better shooter (player) and a better fit than Rondo. Also now, Holiday (their by far best PG) can play his natural position, the one he got paid 126 mils $ to play at. At least for a month or two, but it also may encourage them to stick to that plan if things go well enough.

WOW!  :o

3 quarters in the books, and Anthony Davis already has 30 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and a block in 30 minutes (13-18 shooting)   :o

Pelicans down 98-90 though.

Pelicans down 98-90 though.

Pelicans lose 128-120. Davis 35 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists (15-21 shooting).

Cousins also had 35 points and 14 rebounds.

It's only 2 games but either the Pelicans are sorely missing Rondo... or this simply won't work out for them. Supporting cast isn't great at all and Boogie seems to be the primarily ball handler on the team LOL (not a recipe for success)

This happened last season. Cousins and Davis would have these stacked stats but it didn't translate to wins. Supporting cast isnít good

Also missing Rondo for some time now. But even if Rondo returned I don't think much would change unless Rondo could shoot well on a consistent basis.

Since when is losing to GSW by 8 a big deal.  It looks like Davis and Cousins are coexisting very well.  They just need to shore up their supporting cast.  Rondo should help some but they really need a decent 3&D SF.  Their big problem is lack of cap space and bad contracts.

They just seem like an inconsistent team. Played very poorly vs. MEM then played well last night.

But hope they beat the Lakers tomorrow!  ;D

I hope the Pelicans beat the Lakers. It would bode for our pick, but a disgruntled Davis could seriously be irked if they lost to a really bad team like the Lakers.

Demarcus Cousins has got to be the biggest statpadding cancer I've seen in the league in a number of years.

i agree. The nuggets were scoring in the paint at will. Lol. And in the perimeter too but cousins just stood there. Iím sure heís a very coachable guy. Haha
