Why is he taking sides? He should be neutral and not care what is "going on in Cleveland."

And why would anyone feel bad that Cleveland might trade a star for another star? They might get Melo and Bledsoe and Irving might get what he wants. What's there to be sad about?

The only reason he feels bad is because if Cleveland implodes then GSW will have no competition in the Finals, Finals ratings will suck, and less money will flow into the league.

Playoff ratings already sucked enough last year to cause the cap to decrease, and cost us Avery Bradley in the process.

One thing I think would be a tad funny would be if the NBA raised the age limit another year. It would have the effect of making their only direct competitor twice as good.  I don't think it would help the NBA much.

Because the NBA is a company.

Like every other company, their number 1 goal is to maximize their profits. Kyrie asking for a trade is not a good thing for the league. To put it another way, it's quite possible that they will lose money from tv rights and commercial deals.
