Slow Celtics news day, so please indulge me...

I just wanted to belatedly applaud Marcus for his efforts in game 7 against the Wizards (actually his whole year was really good).

Game 7 will always be remembered for Kelly's heroics and deservedly so.

But outside of the box score, Marcus played a great game.

(Now...go work on that shooting some more!   ;D ;D ;D)

TP for the nice read.

Marcus Smart impacts winning and it shows well beyond the box score. I really hope there's a way for us to keep him moving forward.

that's a nice read, and happy that Smart is still here. He surely in my honest opinion earned his extension with us, is there a stat somewhere on Smart's scoring in the clutch?

Every winning team needs players that are dedicated to intangibles. Rough, physical players that leave everything on the floor. Their jerseys don't sell well, but you miss them when they're gone.

For every Curry there has to be a Draymond, for every Durant there has to be an Iguodala. That's called winning team balance.

Frankly, we need more players that emulate our Junkyard Dog.
