Wow. Cleveland looking to trade the King? Makes sense. Shaq/Kobe situation?

Trading James instead of Irving makes the most sense for the Cavs. Lebron should just take the easy excuse to exit and go somewhere where he can still win. The Cavs window has closed. His pride is too much though to allow himself to be traded.

What an amazing pass the buck situation for him, the chance to play martyr for the sake of Cleveland's basketball future. He gets to blame Gilbert, pass the torch to Kyrie and play the PR game of saying that the players CLE got in return will build the next championship team.

Total head scratcher here

It would be putting the city and fans ahead of his own agenda. Not the James way. He will leave next summer and Cleveland will get nothing, as Wiggins continues to improve in Sota.

James is going to hard to match. Cavs may have to take back some bad contracts to make it work.

And I can't believe some people want him here. Imagine Lebron on a major decline on athleticism, playing for us and refused to waived his no-trade clause for selfish reasons. KG nor Paul never did those things.

Taking a bad contract is a given. As long as they can get a massive haul for it, Cavs should do it.

Probably a nice way to get LeBron out without him being the villain again. He must be happy. I am assuming Cavs get a Nets/C's deal by dealing Love and James.

Why would James waive the clause? Once a player has a no-trade clause (which I understand is very rare, the article says only James, Melo and Nowitzki have it) there is no incentive to waive it.

Maybe someone who knows better how NBA contracts work has more to say, but personally, I don't see this article adding something new.

Granted, he's Lebron but I do believe he's only got one year left on his deal.  no way we should give up that package for a 1 year rental even if that rental is Lebron

It doesn't. Just clickbait to drive traffic to ESPN.

Now, if it said Cleveland approached LeBron about exploring the trade market, it'd be a storyline.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman
