This organization needs to breathe a bit without the weight of Pierce sitting on its chest.

Brad, Hayward, Thomas, Horford,  .... these guys need to make their own legacy without Pierce kicking around.

Also I'm not so sure what Pierce would even do.

Pierce is going to be doing his own thing on ESPN with their NBA coverage.  And he's going to do a heckuva job at it.

No, but only because he likes what he’s doing on TV now. If the Celtics had a job for him that A. He’d want and B. He was good at then I’d be all for it. But great players don’t always want/need a desk job. Larry Bird and the Celtics couldn’t work it our so no way of knowing if Paul could.

With that said I hope he keeps ties to the City of Boston. And on a different note, Paul is the most important Celtic in the last 20 years. Should he get a regiment night like Bird did? Not just a halftime thing but a night just for him?

Good one. Perhaps we can get KG in here to teach them the proper way to us the F-Bomb too.
