It's true...it's [dang] true

He's mature and can play a role straight away.

Will certainly provide more than DJ who's been waived in the process

Semi LOCKED DOWN Dennis Smith Jr early in the 1st quarter at the top of the key in an isolation play. His ability to shut done such an explosive player without help  is really exciting. I hate comparing to stars, but his 3&D ability reminds me a lot of Draymond Green. He'll probably never have the handles and passing that Dray has, but as a 3&D guy I don't think it's unrealistic to think he could match him in those two areas. Very exciting!

im not yet convinced, id like to see him be able to dribble and pass, and more confident with consistency on the shot

hes got ways to go :)

but i guess on track, just got to make this year count.

I just hope he's halfway as special as Gerald Green and Nader, Rollies two recent favorites.

I agree.  A bit underwhelming in SL overall.  He has no handles, only shoots the 3.  Defense seemed ok but nothing special, maybe I wasn't paying attention.  He looked really gassed when he came out of the game.

A few second round picks turn out okay.  The rest never make it.  So the odds are stacked against him.

[/quote-

Do i detect an undertone of sarcasm

Don't forget jaylen  --but its so easy to praise high draft choices
i like the guys who work to even get a spot on bench
Nader made the roster with his position well stocked
and he was better than rj or young last year-

Ojeleye defense is really special with all the screens and switching plus he knocks down threes
This guy was considered best athlete in draft with his combined scoring in the combine testing.

Nader was such late choice he deserves to be commended, that he made it is special
Green i called a weapon in Brads hands and he saved us in playoffs

I think we would all be excited (and shocked!) if, at some point in his career, Semi wins DPOY. It's always a bit unfair to compare these late round 6'7"-6'8" dudes to one of the most successful 2nd round picks in history.

If he can be a serviceable off the bench 3 and D role player, then that will be great for him.

I really like his long range shooting. Needs work but it's there.  If he's a capable defender that's icing. And an NBA ready body already

Disagree.  It's not icing, it's a requirement for a 3-and-D player.  Guys who can just shoot the 3 but do little else are dime-a-dozen as we've seen in SL.

Potential cheaper Crowder replacement.

Best athlete in draft per combine-i have watched him box out properly and his lane agility was 3rd in combine and he is 240 lbs-Brad Stevens knows what he has got defensively
The rebounding with his high standing jump is a paradox-maybe its from camping out on perimeter spreading the floor
Maybe at defensive end he boxes out and doesn't release  or was he defending perimeter players
Aggression is a skill that he may lack at moment.A few weeks with crowder and marcus might bring out the bark in the dog.
