Surely we have the assets. What do we offer?

Does it matter what we have to offer if he's not available? Just trust the process like everyone else champs. We all on a Celtic roller coaster just enjoy the ride.

We are in no hurry for Davis. Wait for Davis to be vocally mad about cousins leaving in FA And/or missing the playoffs for his 100th season

Then we have all the leverage and offer them a pick and we get him

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
NO will make the playoffs next year. Twin towers will work. Holliday is a good player too.
If they can get a shooter in FA too.

That's why I think the right move is to not make another star trade or anything like that (not for Marc Gasol or anyone).

It's risky, but no reason to believe that with another horrid start, guys like Porzingis or Anthony Davis could be shopped. Or another star from another team.

Keep the assets, and roll.

Sit tight on Davis for a year.

I'd like to know about any changes at the 6/7 deadline.

Will they shave Hayward's contract a point or 2 for next year to get under the cap without trading core players?

"twin towers will work"

Did you see them play last season? All advanced statistics showed that when Davis was off the floor, the team performed better surprisingly. They had more losses than wins after cousins joined the team

The twin towers lineup is atrocious. They average 91 pts with them on the floor every 100 possessions, an abysmal number. They are -10 together on the floor. 7-10 record. And a few of the wins Cousins was a non-factor.

Davis will be in play probably at the deadline or next summer. That is a franchise going absolutely nowhere. Bottom five in attendance even with Davis and Boogie. Total non-factor on the court. In a loaded Western conference. Never on TV. Nearly 0 chance of the playoffs. Only time anyone sees Davis is the all-star game.

Boogie is due a big contract I think after this year. No way they re-up him. They'll move Boogie at the deadline. The Brow will probably be soon after. The owner is primarily a Saints owner who the NBA basically begged to buy the team after going a year without a buyer. Pressure is going to start ratcheting up on the league to get AD the heck outta there. TV partners, sponsors. He will not stay there much longer..

Wait for a year, then offer Horford + 3 of our best picks.
I hope we don't go after Marc Gasol, it will hurt our chance bidding for Davis.

NO getting cousins is proof of 2 things

That they're desperate

And that they have no idea how to manage a team / build around Davis
