Who will command the biggest contract next summer, Bradley or Smart?  If Bradley will command between $18 and $20 million per year, it may be a better idea to trade him. Try to sign Smart to a $15 million per year deal. Smart is younger, could possibly be cheaper, and like someone else posted - Smart can run the team if IT is on the bench.

Is it a notable reporter or just some guy guessing the number 5?

The announcer said 5+ teams. He said reporters around the NBA have already said the Celtics are putting Smart on the block.

You could say the same thing about Bradley. His deal next year will be more than Smart's deal

Out of him, Crowder and Bradley, I would prefer to keep Marcus. Wish we could sign him to a reasonable contract extension like Bradley/Crowder, but I know with the new cba and cap I'm dreaming. Still, I wish we could keep him. He should be part of the youth movement

I would want to keep Smart, but im telling you he is going to want big money as well.

It all depends on what the Celtics value more. I think they value Bradley more even if they gotta pay him. Smart on the other hand probably will get some good money but not sure if the Celtics think he is good anyway.

If the Celtics WANT to keep Bradley , then Marcus is gone.

Crowder is on a very good contract. No point in trading him on his long term deal. The guy is here to stay unless a crazy good trade comes our way.

If the Celtics love Bradley they will keep him, which makes Marcus target number one.

Marcus will finally get paid next year. Whatever that is I doubt the Celtics keep him just to pay him when they got a stacked team

As I mention this I see rumors of the Celtics already talking to 5 teams and dangling smart.

Not shocked by the number of teams as Smart can make a big contribution of the bench to a team that is building or teams that are trying to win

bradley can not kept ...he will have to go ....money wise SmRt cN be kept way cheaper than a miffed Bradley who is looking for a ET type pay day from the Celtics ...nomway DA pays what AB wants ...best to let him go ASAP. and Crowder too.

It's a [dang] shame that Phil is gone in New York. Trading Smart, Crowder and some picks for Zinger would be great.

Smart has to go now because he is the least important in all ways between IT, Bradley, Smart, and Crowder. Crowder is an excellent addition to the bench that can play 3 or 4, like Tatum. Crowder will be ahead in the rotation before Tatum until Tatum he proves he can displace Crowder. When he does, Crowder is an excellent trade chip.

And, when the season is over, if Brown has made a major leap, which he should, Bradley can be let go to save money on luxury tax while Brown takes his place in the starting lineup.

I'm not sure I trust it4 can play 82 games. I'd keep Marcus as insurance.  I don't think Rozier can run a team.

Exactly my point. Rozier cannot run a team yet.
