If Jamal Crawford gets bought out (which is expected), Golden State is the front runner to sign him.

Mid-level exception.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I'd really rather have Nick Young.

Nick Young is a better catch and shoot player (basing it off of this year), a better defender, younger and fits well with the role the Warriors are looking for.

Besides, if the Warriors need a ball stopper, Nick Young can do that too.

Will be interesting to see which variation of the MLE they get to use. I still believe that the NBA should institute a hard cap to stop all these flagrant manipulation of cap rules to ring chase and form super teams. What Durant is doing in GSW for example is a total undermining of the intention and goals of the cap. NBA should have a 'best interest of Basket Ball' clause just like they have in baseball so that the commissioner can step in to stop the type of collusion going on  at GSW.

Does he really help them at all? Crawford is aincient and they already have a guard rotation that includes Thompson, curry, Livingston and some young guys that showed promise. I'm not sure taking away the few minutes mccaw and Clark get is a great idea.

crawford is flashy, but doesnt do anything particularly well. decent 3-point shooter, tough shot maker, but he doesnt do anything for any other team. whichever team he'd join would still lose to the warriors.
