3 first rounders (NOT including Nets Pick Or Lakers Pick), Crowder, and another player.

Indiana apparently said "No"

If Ainge offered that, and they said no, and they continued to say no, I guess you can't really blame Ainge.

This was on Draft Night apparently.

I don't think that many people ARE blaming Ainge. Just an impatient vocal minority.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

I'd rather have Oladipo and Sabonis than Crowder and some picks in the 20s.

Melo worth that?  3 1sts, Crowder, maybe Smart, maybe Bradley to match money?

3 1sts should be gold to a rebuilding team, even if they're not too-10. That's 3 swings for cheap money. Amazing how many pieces DA has assembled. I could see opposing negotiators wanting at least one primo asset since we have so many, and holding out too long. Figuring we'd throw it in eventually if we really wanted to deal. Well, no.

Just so we're clear...where are you getting that Ainge's offer was that?  You keep repeating it but EVERY report on this was that if we got Hayward, we would have to trade BOTH Crowder and Bradley just to fit George under the salary cap.

So what are you talking about?

Mike

I really can't imagine nobody wanted him. He was a 20/10 guy as a main option. I blame Lue.

So why is this just leaking now?

It's called "spin", my friend and some of you are falling for it.

I'll pass on Oladipo's $21 million a year salary for the next 4 seasons.

3 later firsts, crowder + and filler is not a better haul than Oladipo and Sabonis. People forget Oladipo is an Indiana player and he will sell tickets, Sabonis is a solid prospect to place next to Turner.

Ainge whiffed again by being greedy. It's unbelievable that we didn't get George, Butler or Griffin not to mention he traded a #1 pick. If Hayward walks, the off season couldn't have gone worse.

Every reported version of the deal has Crowder and non-lottery picks going to Indy.

Maybe AB or Smart were headed to Indy. Or maybe Danny wanted a 3-way where AB / Smart ended up on a third team.

For a 24 year old putting up good numbers? Wait until AB gets a max.

Oladipo is overrated...already his third team.
