Can't we all just get along? Disagree without insults? It is hard sometimes and no one is perfect but let's try to be nicer when we disagree.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Hey speaking of boxscores....how many times this season has Domantas made every one of his shots or almost every one?

That game against KAT...he also out rebounded him and out assisted him right? In less minutes.

So ...yeah....boxscores. They tell a tale, don't they?

Domantas

15,12,6 and a block in a 124-107 win at Cleveland.

Oladipo

23,2,7 and a steal in the same win.

Just boxscores.

just revisiting this topic again

looking more and more like the Pacers GM is not a fool like everyone thought

on the other hand Presti looks like he got a little too greedy

Melo is holding that team back

I'd just like to take a moment to pat myself on the back for predicting the Pacers would be borderline playoffs this year. Absolutely not a tanking team and one less for us to worry about re. the Lakers pick.

Oladipo is averaging 23-5-4 with terrific percentages and Indy is 10-8. He might be on pace for an all star berth.

I'm in the camp that this should reflect poorly on what it's like to play with Russell Westbrook.

Here's a TP for your foresight.

OKC's troubles are largely due to Westbrook and Donovan i.m.o.
Never rated Donovan. He should be sacked and then someone has to bring some awareness into Westbrook. He just isn't mentally able to play the full game for the team. At some point (often already after the 1st quarter) he forgets to play defense, getting others involved on offense and that he is a poor 3-point shooter.

OKC should be one of the biggest threats to the GSW with the constructed roster by Presti. Even though Oladipo and Sabonis turn out to be much better than expected (at least for me) I still think it were the right moves. I don't like Westbrook that much, but if you have a superstar like him you try your best to build an instant contender.

Here's the thing.

Oladipo last year in Orlando
33 mpg - 16 p, 4.8 r, 3.9 a, 1.6 s, 0.8 b, 2.1 t, 2.4 f, 47.5% 2PT, 34.8% 3PT, 83% FT

Oladipo one year in Oklahoma City
33.2 mpg - 15.9 p, 4.3 r, 2.6 a, 1.2 s, 0.3 b, 1.8 t, 2.3 f, 49.1% 2PT, 36.1% 3PT, 75.3% FT

So, Oladipo shot a lot better in Oklahoma City and scored about the same amount.  His rebounding went down nominally and his assists dropped a large amount.  He wasn't blocking shots or getting steals as well, but also wasn't turning it over and committing as many fouls.  What that says to me, is Oladipo has continued to take a natural progression and showed improvement in the areas you would expect (and had his totals decrease in areas that Westbrook dominated).

This year, Oladipo is the #1 scoring option and is getting a lot more shots and is hitting 3's at a great percentage, though has taken a step back from 2.  His FT% is back up to where it was.  He is getting more rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks as well, but is also turning it over and committing more fouls.  Those are all things you would expect when you go from a #2 option to a #1 option.  when his 3PT% drops back down to earth, his overall numbers will be almost identical to what he was in OKC (with a few more shots a game and an extra assist or so).

Yeah, I fully expect Oladipo's per 36 numbers to be about the same as they have been by year's end.

Eja, like I said it would happen, Sabonis has come off the bench ever since Turner returned.

Might not be crazy to think Indiana won this trade.

Oladipo is looking like a legit all-star, Sabonis looks like a solid player, and George just doesn't look as good at OKC at the moment.

Indiana got two great, young players for a rental who clearly wasn't staying with them long term.

Meanwhile, right now, George's shooting 2/12 with only 6 points as OKC may be heading for another loss vs. DEN.

George is averaging 20/6 this season, which is pretty underwhelming. Part of it may be the team he's on (w/Westbrook and Carmelo), but PG13 doesn't look like the superstar many thought he was 2-3 years ago.

5 straight, 11 of 14, now 4 games over .500 and the 5th seed in the West.  It appears the naysayers were a bit too quick to dismiss the Thunder.
