Gordon Hayward's wife does not like SL City or living in Utah. Parents do not like him there either. This was shared last night on ESPN radio. Said all parties involved in the Hayward camp are ready to move on.
Also Miami has been said to be too party like for the Hayward's as they are very midwestern.
nothing in miami except parties and shootings

Having spent a LOT of time in Miami and South Florida, in general, I can tell you the party atmosphere is very overrated. While South Beach has its clubs, the majority are really only on one street (Washington). The rest of Miami Beach is trendy, fun, and beautiful. The city of Miami isn't as pedestrian friendly as Boston, NYC, SF, DC, etc, but there is a lot of energy (and money being spent) throughout the downtown core to compete with other major metropolitan areas.
And if Hayward wants nothing to do with Miami, he can get a beautiful home on a canal in Fort Lauderdale or on a private beach anywhere throughout South Florida. It may not be his first choice in terms of what a city has to offer, but the weather and lack of sales tax are real factors (I know from first hand experience).
I do agree that the fan base sucks and the team has nowhere near as much potential as the Cs. If he chooses Miami, it's not because he wants to win.
