While I do believe he will ultimately sign with the Jazz, we shouldn't discount Miami. The lack of state tax allows him to make up much of that 5th year extra the Jazz will give him. We can't compete there. Also, there is no debate that the weather in Miami is much more desirable. Yes we are better prepared to win than the Heat are, however as much as we'd like to believe it not every player truly has that as his main priority. They all claim it is the case, but when the money is put in front of them the truth comes out.

So, if he is after money he stays in Utah with the Heat a close second. If he is after winning he comes to Boston or stays in Utah. (they are arguably just as good a team as we are only playing in the West which you won't beat the Warriors) If he is after lifestyle then he is headed to the Heat.

Therefore. The Heat can make a really good argument for money and lifestyle so they aren't out of it. I voted that he stays in Utah BTW...

Am I reading too much into the fact that we're scheduled last instead of the Jazz? It seems strange to have them neither first nor last with them being the incumbent, especially with him going to Miami this weekend already.

Along with everything else that has gone on recently, this makes me think that he's really leaning towards Boston over Utah by giving us the last word.

I'll go with "stays in Utah." It's never smart to bet on player movement.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

As I said in the original post, Boston's meeting time is still TBD.

It's possible Utah is last, Boston meets with him Sunday.

Oh, I had read reports that he was scheduled later in the week.

That makes more sense for Boston to come on Sunday. Generally FAs either schedule the incumbent team first or last, so that would be a pretty standard setup.

Oh is there another report out saying he meets Boston last? I didn't know.

Ugh, stop it. This is giving me flashbacks of last year when the coward went to GS on the 4th of July.

Gordon Hayward's wife does not like SL City or living in Utah. Parents do not like him there either. This was shared last night on ESPN radio. Said all parties involved in the Hayward camp are ready to move on.

Also Miami has been said to be too party like for the Hayward's as they are very midwestern.

His wife apparently on IG posted the letters the group of 1st graders in a Utah school wrote to Hayward, asking him to stay, and she (his wife) said it was real thoughtful and cute. I swear if we miss out on Hayward because of those meddling kids..  >:(

I just hope the Celtics can give Hayward a GOOD pitch and maybe bring some help (Brady? PP34? KG?).

I know it's typical, but him meeting with Utah final day worries me, especially if they manage to pull off a trade for a star AND/OR keep Ingles, Hill somehow...
