Trying to decide what decent players could potential join the Celtics this Summer for the vet minimum and MLE.

I guess there is going to be a lot of changes to our roster, and salary shedding so it might leave us a little thin depth-wise.

Some discussion on vet minimum options have been spread out and scattered throughout various different topics this summer so I figured I'd start one that concentrated the conversation on vet minimum players.

Plus, I kind of stink at determining player value and the type of contracts they get ;D.

Who are some solid players that the Celtics can add with their room exception and vet minimum contracts?

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
To much to happen this is like an august post when the dust settle. Jared Sullinger comes to mine today though.

That was the icing on the cake.  There was also the Javale McGee is signing in Boston -- wait, no he's not!  And the way he handled the Motiejunas situation last summer and fall was completely unprofessional.  No thank you.

I know this won't be well received but I'd love to have one more run at Bogut.

Hard to believe Bogut is still only 32.

If he can stay healthy, he probably has at least 3 more productive years

He costed D-Mo huuuuge deal of money.
And he represents Josh Jackson too...

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Mo speights is known as one of the most selfish players in the league. He does not pass. Period.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I want Bogut too. Even if he's not healthy, he's an experienced, good chemistry guy. This team is going to lose a few veterans and gain rookies in their place, so a guy like Bogut would be great. If he is healthy and can contribute, that's even better.

But he's got to be better than Yinka Dare right (4 career assists in 110 games, including 0 assists in 58 games in 95-96)?  :o

If he could buy in, even just a little bit, to Brad's system, he would of course be a great pick-up for the minimum.
