Crowder is a really good 6-7th man on a championship contender ..
He has a very viable salary so if the price is right you got to let him go..

Agreed. He's a starter because he's the best we had at the position, but he's not irreplaceable.

The SF position is loaded in this league and there are plenty of better players out there. His perceived value is inflated by his contract. Either Hayward or George are massive upgrades over him and their contracts are worth their production.

Uh, no.

Crowder hasn't helped us win a championship last time I checked.

Crowder can kick rocks as far as I am concerned.  Overrated and too full of himself for his talent level.

In a way yes.  Locker room leader, on the court leader.  You can't replace what Jae brings to the team.  He will definitely be missed.  A lot of people are treating Crowder like he is a throw in and no a legit starter.  Jae Crowder epitomizes what it means to be a Celtic.  If trading Jae lands Paul George with the potential for having PG for the next 5 years then I'm all for it.  Paul George is a legit top 15 player in the league and would make the Celtics a legit title contender.

Jae Crowder is not a scrub.  He will be missed in the locker room and community.  Others will have to step up but luckily the C's and Brad Stevens have instilled a culture in Boston that is rivaled among none in the NBA.  Leaders will fill his shoes but he will be missed.

object is to win a title.

unfortunately in the NBA top 50 players don 't beat top 10-20 plyers very often.

Celtics need proven elites to beat GS , Cavs in a series.  Where elite players take over games.

This.

Bye, Jae.

Adios Amigo! Crowder! ;)

No. Crowder is no more than a 6th man grinder in this league

That '08 team really was a brotherhood. Perk was a career long Celtic who started for a title team, who had just battled his way back from injury to join a contender with the East's best record.

Jae Crowder has been here 2 1/2 seasons and seems insecure about his role.

I don't think there's a comparison.

True (tho Jae is equally guilty of complaining on every call, if not more arm flailing and wincing).

I was thinking more about press / social media. Crowder said he'd be fine with being traded somewhere else on Twitter last season. Good then.... BYE!

Hate to say it but Crowder has acted like baby to the fans and he deserves the treatment he is getting now.

In no way do I think Crowder is half the team mate that Perk is.

We tend to love all our players but it certainly looks like one of Smart / Crowder / Bradley has to go.
And I really hope Crowder is the one for the above mentioned reasons...

Also I think his defense was lacking and definitely not as good as in 15-16. Hopefully Rozier + Crowder + non BKN picks can make a good deal for PG13

I would agree with that trade to get PG13.  I would not trade Bradley or Smart ever.  There is no replacement for those two on our roster.  Crowder is replaced by PG13 and is a major upgrade.  You do not want to break up the core unless a piece is improved upon.

The '08 team was indeed a tight-knit group.  Rondo was devastated when the trade happened.  I didn't like the trade when it happened because it broke up a championship starting-five.  Of course, it's easy to look back now and see that Jeff Green was a huge disappointment, but I firmly believe these two situations are not at all comparable.  Jae Crowder does not play the essential role that Perk played for the '07 championship team.
