Donatas Motiejunas is still out there on the available free agents list. He's still a young, talented big man who can shoot from outside and post up. That contract ordeal with Houston really hurt his career. Where do you guys think he ends up?

That was the work of the great B.J. Armstrong who lost his client 30 million dollars. Motiejunas should sue.

Yeah. I'm shocked BJ Armstrong still has NBA clients. Who the heck would want to risk their payday like that?

(I guess I'll be posting here waiting for the 2017-8 season thread to open)

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/20286965/nba-issues-memo-detailing-how-add-rest-schedule

"Some of the new improvements include:

 • Eliminating stretches of four games in five days and 18 games in 30 days.

 • Reduction of five games in seven nights to just 40 instances across (1.3 per team), down from last year when it was on the schedule 90 times (three per team).

• Reduction in number of back-to-backs to 14.9 per team, down from 16.3 per team. In all, 40 back-to-backs have been eliminated from last season.

• Reduction of single-game road trips by 17 percent.

• Reduction in single-game road trips over 2,000 miles by 67 percent; there are only 11 of them on schedule.

• Increase in weekend games from 549 to 568, much of the boost coming on Saturdays. Previously the NBA avoided Saturdays and Sunday afternoons during football season to dodge conflicts.

Teams that have seen versions of their schedules can petition the league for changes. However, the overall themes will stay intact"

Hopefully this helps with injuries. Biggest issue is lack of rest to let the muscles heal after games. Me and my wife had talked about this and young kids playing too much basketball these days and why there seems to be so many injuries now. She's seen a lot more kids lately, and a bulk of them do more than one sport at a time, and do multiple travel leagues.

And more weekend games during the winter will be great, especially if you live in a snowy weather climate. :)

Not sure if this belongs here, but I can't think of a better thread either.

Might he?  That's so generous of him!

The Clippers went for that price in 2014, so it's not inconceivable, especially since they own their own building in Brooklyn.

I'm a native New Yorker and wouldn't even know he still owns the team if not for following the NBA like I do. He has taken a huge step back away from the limelight. When they made that trade, he was everywhere. Now? Nowhere. He should sell the team.

To me, him stepping away from the spotlight is a sign that he better understands the role of an owner. How many NBA owners can you name without Google/Wikipedia? All the stuff he was doing at the beginning - going for the splashiest coaching hire,  guaranteeing a championship in 5 years - were the hallmarks of inexperience.
