I thought in the coming days having a dedicated free agency rumors and signings thread would be easier for all of us, especially since I'm guessing most of us will be spending quite a bit of time on here this week.

Anyways, Stein is reporting that Chris Paul is now a "serious threat" to sign in Houston.

With both San Antonio and Houston being serious contenders for Paul's services this summer, that bodes well for our contingency plan of Griffin should Hayward not come.

It also would be good to have another legitimate threat to the Warriors in the West, either in an upgraded and healthy Spurs squad or a revamped Rockets team.

Specifically, hearing Ingles could have an offer in the 4-year, $60 million range from the Orlando Magic. If so, hard to see Utah matching.

Great news for us, especially if it happens early in the process. That'd be a hard one for Utah to match, and with Gordon already being shaky with Hill not coming back, he'd certainly be gone if they don't bring Ingles back.

Andre Iguodala set to meet with Sacramento Kings tonight at the start of free agency as well as Spurs, per sources.

Lol at Iggy meeting with the Kings first. He must really be desperate for a pay raise. Probably an implicit threat to Golden State.

He's worth at least 1/6 of the dubs money

Iggy knows how to play. He's been around quite a while.

Every year we hear that this will be the year that teams don't make foolish decisions in free agency, because they learned from last year and/or have no money.  Based on the rumored Jrue Holiday deal and the rumored Ingles offer, I feel that this year will be like all the others.

Wow.  TP.  That's a lot of money for Ingles.  I thought that new management would bring a new strategy for the Magic, but this seems to me to be Hennigan-esque.

The Wizards have offered John Wall a four-year contract extension, but he will take some time to consider the offer.

4 YEARS/170M  :o

And Jrue Holiday could get a 5/170M deal as early as tonight.

But Isaiah Thomas is not worth 28-30M/Year...  ::)

Blake Griffin has canceled meetings w/ Phoenix & Denver, I'm told. Barring wildcard team swooping in, sense is a return to Clippers coming.

Plan b might be gone

That John Wall deal is a no-brainer for Washington. John's the best all around PG in the east.

PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Blake Griffin plans to reach agreement on a five-year, $173 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources tell The Vertical.

Wow, looks like Doc might've finally decided to give him the full 5+ year max.

Too bad, he would've been a nice back-up plan. Now it's Hayward or bust, pretty much, though perhaps a run at Milsap or Gallo might occur if Hayward is a no-go.
