Restricted free agent Joe Ingles is finalizing a deal to return to the Utah Jazz, Ingles tells ESPN. http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-0672977370415634871-4

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

UPDATE: 4 Years/52M

That's a heck of a lot for someone like Ingles!

I'd rather have Ingles at that # than Gallo at whatever he's going to get.

Ingles can defend and keep the ball moving.  Can play 2-4 in a pinch.
You'd rather have Ingles and his 7 points 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game ahead of Gallinari? OK.

Yeah, I love how people are dumping on Galinari, a player who can average 20 points, create his own shot, and shoot better than almost everyone on our roster. Sure, we don't need players like that.

And he does it on elite efficiency. People don't realize how good of an offensive player Gallinari is.
Yes, he is an excellent offensive player. He is a bit one dimensional, but under CBS I am sure the Celtics would maximize his offensive and give IT a break.

If it just weren't for his health.  :P

Crudely stated, under the new CBA a team can go over the cap to keep their own players. They cannot to sign free agents. Every big player for GS, save Durant, was drafted by them. Hence, they can sign them as long as they are willing to pay.

This is why ainge is accumulating great draft picks. As these players grow, if they pan out the Celtics can pay to keep them.  This is why those posters who whine about "too many picks" are missing the point entirely.

So it is because they have Bird rights on these guys.

Well, there's the rub. His health is a very serious question.

It's a fair number for Ingles. He's an advanced stats darling.

Gallinari will get more because he's a very efficient outside scorer and they get paid a premium.

The West has pooped on the East for years now, yet their teams continue to get stronger and stronger.WTH man?!

What if we sign Hayward and then do a sign-n-trade with Toronto for Ibaka?  It would probably take even less than Indy got for George.

The East seems to just have the dumber GMs.    I mean, the Toronto guy is supposed to be one of the best and how much did he give away to rent PJ Tucker?  What if Ibaka signs somewhere else?

The disparity between the West and East right now is just crazy.

Legit playoff contenders in the West:
GS
SA
Houston
OKC
Utah
Portland
Clippers
Memphis
Dallas
Minnesota
Denver
New Orleans

Lakers
Sacramento
Phoenix

The West will be an absolute dogfight next year. 12 out of 15 teams all look to have good shots at the playoffs.

Yes, except Durant.  This is why Durant, although he will come to an agreement last, will be the first (or so) signed.  #paperwork.

Masai Ujiri (the Toronto guy) offered Tucker significantly more money. It's not his fault that Tucker left.

salivating at the chance of cashing in on that Lakers pick next year. If the ping pong balls fall to #2 and the Brooklyn one falls to #1... Lol
