MCW to the Hornets per Jeff Goodman, not that anyone really cares.

Honest truth is I think the Hornets will be sneaky good this season.

Sure they could win 35-40 games and be the 6-8 seed in the east.

They won 36 games last year. I think they improved this offseason. They could be a 40-45 win team this year in the East this year.

Looks like both Phoenix and Minny are out of the Millsap hunt, leaving just Denver for now.

I wonder if Danny would try to nab him if he's still available if Hayward goes elsewhere on Tuesday.

Nene talking to other teams now after his Houston deal fell through. I would love to nab him for a big off of our bench. Can he work off the bench with someone like Zizic?

If we miss out on Hayward, Millsap is the only real impact free agent left, so I would hope so.

I would love Millsap on like a two year deal, buy Denver likely to do better than that. I can't imagine Danny ties up long term max money in an aging Millsap, but he certainly should invest short term max-ish money in him if Hayward falls through and Millsap is interested.

I care, MCW should fire his agent.

MCW is not a good player. They are a decent team, maybe make the playoffs, but that's it.

The only thing I don't like about Millsap is his age.  He's already 32.  But he fills many needs in terms of position and skillset, and he has experience playing with Horford already.

If we could get him on a short-ish deal, I'd be on board.  Not sure that's a realistic hope though.

Why can't they do what Philly is doing and overpay him for one year if we whiff on Hayward?

Sixers have had a nice off-season and have finally committed to winning and not tanking.  They should make the playoffs.  Tanking (strategically trying to lose) is in some ways despicable, yet it is all within the rules of the NBA and if Embiid and Simmons play healthy and to their potentials, this team will soon be one to be reckoned with.

Let's compare C's and Sixers in terms of acquisitions/losses so far this summer (apologies if I missed something):

Sixers add:  Fultz, Amir Johnson, JJ Reddick
Declared FAs: Tiago Splitter, Sergio Rodriguez
Sixers lose: LAL/SAC/Philly 1st round draft pick in 18 or 19

Celtics add: Tatum, Daniel Theis, LAL/SAC/Philly 1st round draft pick in 18 or 19, Ante Zizic
Declared FAs: Green, Young, and Jerebko
C's Lose:  Amir

Let's call the 2nd round picks for C's and Sixers a wash.

So... while many are considering the off-season a strong one for Philly and many seem pretty unsatisfied by the C's off-season thus far, a side by side look really doesn't seem like a homerun for one and a swinging strike 3 for the other.  If Danny doesn't add GH or a couple of sound role players to this team, I'll probably feel let down, but even as it stands at this moment, I think the C's have improved their team while protecting/building future assets.  And I am certain Danny isn't done.
