Tomorrow night is the deadline for the QO.

Mindblowing to think we might not even offer 4.1 to KO..

I would be quite surprised if a QO wasn't extended.  It's not even $4.2 million.  There's no way Olynyk picks it up unless he's being spiteful for some reason.  He's going to get at least triple that if he waits a few days into free agency.

But wouldn't that hold up any signings/trades until he signs with a new team?

If all else fails in FA, we would just have to outbid everyone. Doesn't seem like a huge deal if they don't make the QO. Doesn't mean they are closing the door on him.

If the QO is offered, can he be traded after July 1 but before the "match" deadline date, to Indiana?

And if so, does Indiana get the normal right to match if KO is offered a big deal by someone else?

I hope he stays.  If not, I hope he lands somewhere where his skills are put to good use.  Kelly Olynyk is a seriously elite basketball talent.

I doubt he has a future in Boston, but the dude put us on his back in our biggest game in the last five years.  I'll always remember and appreciate him for that.

Maybe the most overhated player in blog history.

And half the NBA thinks he's some super dirty player.

Wish him the best. Can't say he was a warrior for us, but he was very important to the team and made huge contributions to winning over his 4 years. If Hayward/George/Blake/mystery superstar falls through, I'd love to have him back.

He was pretty much what Ainge said he would be when he drafted KO.  Maybe not a starter but a definite rotation guy who was going to have a long career. It's just that his consistency, especially last season was maddening.  Some team will see the glass as half full and overpay him.  They'll love the deal next season and by season 3 they'll regret having paid him so much.

Regardless, KO makes a lot of money and my guess is will still be playing in the league by the time he hits his mid 30's.

I always liked KO.  I never completely got the mild dislike for him from the fans.  I think the expectations were a bit out of wack for him, just like every other guy we draft.  He has been a solid rotation guy and last year gave us good minutes and production off the bench.

If we wiff on Hayward / PG I hope DA can bring him back on a team friendly deal.  I like watching him play.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Prime Brookyn Nets candidate.

Kenny Atkinson loves three point shooting.

My money is on Brooklyn.

Hopefully he waits to see what happens with Hayward/PG13.

Olynyk would be one of the best players on the nets. I could see it happening. Our pick next year could be negatively affected they will win more games. Maybe not tho olynyk has his disappearing acts
