Kawhi not getting 100 first team votes is a snub. That people consider Green and Gobert above him is laughable.

Crowder didn't get snubbed, he is highly overrated on this board. Bradley and Smart seem about right.  Bradley's only "snub" was positions, as he had the 10th most votes, but Giannis as a forward got the 10th slot.  I have no issue with Westbrook receiving 10 points.  And who really cares if Aldridge, Lillard, Thomas, and C. Zeller got 1 second place vote.  It is essentially meaningless.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Lebron didn't get snubbed. He is a still a great defender when he locks in, he just doesn't lock in very often.  If you just don't care about defense during the course of the majority of the regular season, then you don't belong on an all defensive team.

The reality is only 3 or 4 of the 10 were the first option for their team on offense (Leonard, Davis, Giannis, and maybe Paul).  It is just too hard to be a great offensive player and a great defensive player for very long.  I fully expect Leonard to do what Jordan, James, and all of the other great wings do over time and focus less and less on defense and more and more on offense.  It is just the natural progression.  Giannis is so long he will always create steals and blocks, which is why he is on there, but he isn't a lock down defender like pretty much every other guard/wing on that list.

TA, Paul, Giannis, Wall, James, Westbrook and the rest of the bolded stand out as guys who got more votes than they deserved(most of the listed guys riding on reputation)i also think Crowder and Bradley got more votes than they deserved.

6 people putting Kawhi on second team is disrespectful. Felt Marcus got snubbed. KD and Klay getting overlooked a bit too.

Gary Harris from the Denver Nuggets should have gotten some votes I think. And how about Caldwell-Pope only receiving one vote? That's disrespectful. He gives great effort in chasing his man all over the court.

How about Westbrook getting any votes? Who does he guard?

apparently by the same measure, KCP and IT4 are the same defensive value.

Haven't you ever heard, the best defense is a good offense?

Isaiah routinely holds his man to fewer points than he scores, seems like pretty good D to me!  :D

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

For whatever it's worth I'd probably have gone:

Smart
Paul
Leonard
Green
Gobert

Beverly
Klay
Roberson
Durant
Davis

Tho looking at that I feel like I'm overrating smart klay and Durant.

Bottom line is that there are 3 awesome defensive players and then everybody else. Green, gobert, Leonard are miles better than anyone else in the league.

Durant that high? Although there aren't any big names that spring to mind ahead of him. I think MKG is underrated.
