Uh no, not for me.  He was thoroughly unimpressive in that playoff series.  He needs to put on more girth.  Good player though, just not worth an overpay.

No! Celtics are not the Trailblazers.

If we miss out on Hayward, Griffin, PG13 would...

Rudy Gay be a second tier target?

No. Our Rookie and Jaylen are better than 2nd Tier SFs and their contracts. Millsap would be the player I look at.

Perhaps.  I'm just concerned about reconstituting a front line (Atlanta) that has already proven to not be enough.

Some of you have set the bar so low.  We are not signing a guy just to do it because we want to keep flexibility.   We will run it back and play with what we got.  If Ainge addds a guy I think it is going to be for a better player.

We have an Otto Porter.  His name is Jason Tatum.

1. He is restricted.
2. Wizards and Celtics are rivals to top the East.

I think this ends the debate.

sorry but tying up cap space on Otto Porter sounds like a horrible idea.

We already have Otto Porter: Jae Crowder.

Both play the same position and can contribute to a winning team. But neither is making a team a contender. They can make a contender amazing, but not making a team a contender.

Wizards aren't going to pay the luxury tax.  Their owner has pretty much said so.  If all they do is add minimum salary players to their roster, they can afford to pay Porter a little under $20 million next season.

In other words, the Wizards can be outbid.

God no.

I know.  Why on earth would we want a player who shot 43% from 3, would have finished second on the Celtics in rebounds, led all non-centers in eFG%, had the lowest turnover rate in the league, and just turned 24 earlier this month?

May almighty powers keep this waste of a player from us.

No- I think Tatum will be better. I have no interest in curbing Jaylen/Jayson's progress by playing another young guy like Porter.
