He was given a luxury watch in exchange for posting this on instagram (i think all prospects including Tatum did but I feel like snitching on Fultz lol)

Its against federal law to post a sponsorship like this without declaring that the post is an ad. He financially gained from the ad by receiving the watch for free, so it qualifies as an ad under the FTC. I don't see a disclaimer in this post, which makes it violate FTC guidelines on social media posts

Somehow in a world with daily shooting, near daily terrorist attacks around the world and the American health care system getting gutted this doesn't seem like it is worth getting up in arms about....

I get what you're saying but just because there's shootings in Chicago, we are free to deceive others on social media? If it weren't illegal, we'd be clicking ads all day because we wouldn't be able to see what is and isn't paid for

Tissot was a sponsor of the NBA draft, as seen in the background of the post. They were selling the watches at Barclays last night for $400. Also not nearly in the price range to be considered a luxury watch. Tatum also had one on last night.

they were given a required post for instagram: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/markelle-fultz-botches-instagram-post-member-76ers-article-1.3272624

As a condition of that post, I assume they received a watch. Which the FTC says requires a disclosure. I don't see one just saying. Not the end of the world but technically highly illegal.

Yup, Fultz has some serious character issues. No wonder why Ainge didn't draft him.

I think you're missing the punchline here.

Read his post. That's the mildly comical part.

In terms of "highly illegal", what are you expecting for an FCC fine? Or should they send him straight to prison?

Well, "unless it is already clear from the context of the communication." And he posted "@Tissot.us is helping me get started with my sixers watch".

Things are quite self-explanatory.

Thanks for wasting my time on this. =)

Does anyone serious care about this?

I certainly don't.

Illegal or otherwise, it's not important.

Also, screw the government.

FTC.  Leave the poor FCC out of this one.

So what you're trying to say is get Fultz arrested so the Celtics do not have to compete against him 4 times a year (and possibly another 4 times in the playoffs)...smart thinking!  8)

Looks to me like it's a gift. Or possibly a recent purchase. Prove it's not.
