Ceiling: Melo with better defense.
Floor: A poor man's Rudy Gay.
It might take a little time. And if we sign Hayward, I'm finding it difficult to picture Tatum getting the minutes to fully develop. But his offensive arsenal is special. He can score from all 3 levels.
My only question is can he do it against NBA level athletes. It's kind of easy to dominate college competition. And when you have so many talented teammates at Duke... well you get more opportunities to shine.
But hopefully he fits in and turns into a star for us. I have a feeling he will split time between 3 and small ball 4 since he played so much 4 for Duke.
Really good size and length at 6'8 with 6-11 wingspan. Also he probably instantly becomes the best ISO player on the Celtics. He's got game in the post as well.
Check out this video showcasing his offense.
